New Delhi. The Indian equity benchmark indices traded lower on Friday with Nifty around 22,000.At close, the Sensex was down 453.85 points or 0.62 percent at 72,643.43, and the Nifty was down 123.30 points or 0.56 percent at 22,023.30. About 1724 shares advanced, 1939 shares declined, and 113 shares unchanged.

Anxiety is Dalal Street rose after mutual fund houses revealed their stress test results post Sebi’s mandate to Association of Mutual Funds of India (AMFI). Starting March 15, these fund houses need to reveal their stress test results every 15 days, according to information.

This test aims to determine how soon the fund managers can liquidate their porftolios in the event of investors seeking redemptions during challenging market conditions.

Rupee Close:
On 15 Mar’24 the Indian rupee ended lower at 82.88 per dollar versus previous close of 82.81.
