The 10th edition of the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit was inaugurated today by Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the prestigious Mahatma Mandir in Gandhinagar, Gujarat.The summit, which has become a symbol of Gujarat’s economic prowess and global engagement,witnessed the presence of esteemed dignitaries, business leaders, and delegates from around the world.

The event marks a significant rebound for the state, as the 2021 edition was cancelled due to pandemic restrictions.

Marking the initiation of the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit, a platform aimed at fostering economic growth, investment, and international collaboration, the inaugural ceremony underscores the significance of the summit in showcasing Gujarat as a preferred investment destination and a hub for global business interactions.The theme of the Summit which will be held from January 10-12 is ‘Gateway to the Future.’ featuring the participation of 34 partner countries and 16 partner organizations. The summit is expected to draw the presence of around 200 global CEOs alongside Indian industrialists. The focus of the summit will be on emerging sectors such as semiconductors, green hydrogen, e-mobility, and space manufacturing. The agenda includes over 2500 B2B and B2C meetings, along with a series of seminars covering globally relevant topics like Industry 4.0, Technology and Innovation, and renewable energy. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman is slated to attend the seminar on the Gujarat road map for 2047 on Wednesday. Union Textile Minister Piyush Goyal will actively participate in various seminars and attend the India UAE summit later in the day.

The participation of Prime Minister Modi highlights the importance of the summit in promoting Gujarat’s economic potential.

Gujarat CM Bhupendra Patel welcomes 34 partner countries and delegates from over 130 countries to the Vibrant Gujarat Summit 2024. Addressing the Summit CM Bhupendra Patel said,”Vibrant Summit’s pioneer and architect PM Modi has described the Summit as a platform for business bonding as well as binding.Today,the presence of you all here is a proof of it”.

“PM Modi has taken the idea of ‘One Earth, One Family, One Future’ to the world. The success of India’s G20 presidency has made the country proud”…,said CM Bhupendra Patel.

The event is being attended by notable figures such as UAE President Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of Mozambique Filipe Nyusi, President of Timor Leste José Ramos-Horta, Union Minister Piyush Goyal, and Gujarat CM Bhupendra Patel during the inaugural session. Following the inauguration, the Prime Minister will engage in discussions with CEOs from leading global corporations. Additionally, Modi will participate in the Global FinTech Leadership Forum at GIFT City in the evening.

In this Summit, 34 partner countries and 16 partner organizations are participating, which include a prominent group of world leaders, including Presidents, Prime Ministers, and CEOs of MNCs from many countries. During the Summit, PM Modi will hold bilateral talks with CEOs of important global firms such as Suzuki Motor Corp’s Toshihiro Suzuki, AP Moller’s Keith Svendsen, Micron Technology’s Sanjay Mehrotra, Rasna Private Limited Chairman Piruz Khambatta, and others. From India, Gautam Adani, Mukesh Ambani, and Natarajan Chandrasekaran will be among the scores of top Indian executives in attendance. The 2015 summit saw 21,304 MoUs, and 2017 had 24,774 deals, with approximately 70% materializing. Officials are optimistic that 90% of this year’s MoUs will be realized.
