Stock market highlights: Sensex up 274 points, Nifty at 19389, Bajaj twins shines

The Indian equity benchmark indices extended the bull trend for the fourth straight session,on Tuesday overlooking negative global cues and riding on the newfound momentum in the market.Foreign flows and encouraging business updates for Q1 have also helped the run on Dalal Street.
At close,Sensex was up 274 points or 0.42 percent to close at 65,479.05, while Nifty ended the day at 19,389 up 66.45 points or 0.34 percent.
Stocks and Sectors
Bajaj Finance that came out with its quarterly business was the biggest gainer on Nifty, up 7 percent, followed by Bajaj Finserv’s gain of 6 percent, which is its holding company followed by Grasim and Bharti Airtel were also other big gainers while Eicher Motors was the biggest loser of the day, according to sources.
On the sectoral front,Nifty PSU Bank was the top gainer, rising nearly 2 percent followed by Nifty IT and Nifty Financial Services. Among the losers were Nifty Realty and Nifty Auto.
Mid cap and Small cap indices ended in red.
On 4 July’23,the Indian rupee falls 6 paise to close at 82.02 against the US dollar.
