Stock market rally continues for 3rd session, Sensex ends 152 pts higher, Nifty above 19550

The Indian equity benchmark indices ended higher for the third consecutive session on Tuesday,led by realty firms on rising property registrations, while the more domestically focussed mid-caps and small-caps outperformed the blue-chips and hit fresh record highs.
At close, the Sensex was up 152.12 points or 0.23 percent at 65,780.26, and the Nifty was up 46.10 points or 0.24 percent at 19,574.90.
Stocks and Sectors
Apollo Hospitals, Coal India, Sun Pharma, BPCL and Bajaj Auto were top gainers on the Nifty, while losers included UltraTech Cement, SBI Life Insurance, Dr Reddy’s Laboratories, Maruti Suzuki and Eicher Motors.
On the sectoral front,banks were down marginally, while other sectors ended in the green with healthcare and realty added 1 percent each.
The BSE midcap index rose 1 percent and smallcap index gained 0.6 percent.
On 5 Sep’23,the Indian rupee plunged by 35 paise to close at 83.06 against the US dollar on, amid a strong American currency and higher crude oil prices.Besides,the rupee has breached the 83-level against the dollar for the fifth time since August 14, according to information.Foreign fund outflows from the domestic equity markets also weakened the local currency.
