Stock Market Highlights: Nifty ends around 17624, Sensex up 13.54 points.

The Indian equity index ended on a positive note for the sixth consecutive session,on 10th April, supported by buying seen in the auto, power, oil & gas and real estate stocks.

At close, the Sensex was up 13.54 points or 0.02 percent at 59,846.51, and the Nifty was up 24.90 points or 0.14 percent at 17,624, according to sources.

Stocks and Sectors

Tata Motors, ONGC, Grasim Industries, Adani Enterprises and Wipro were among major gainers on the Nifty, while losers included Bajaj Finance, Tata Consumer Products, HUL, Asian Paints and IndusInd Bank, according to reliable sources.

On the sectoral front, except bank and FMCG, all other indices ended in the green with realty index jumped 4 percent, while auto, power and oil & gas up 1 percent each.

The BSE midcap and smallcap indices ended with marginal gains.

On April 10’23, the rupee rises by 24 paise to close at 82.19 against US dollar.
