Stock market ended lower amid weak global cues;ITC falls over 3%

The Indian market traded lower on Monday with earnings season and weak global cues dragging the equity benchmarks lower.
At close,the Sensex was down 299.48 points or 0.45 percent at 66,384.78
and the Nifty closed was down 0.37 percent or 72.65 points at 19,672.35.
Stocks and Sectors
IndusInd Bank, M&M and Dr Reddy Labs were the biggest gainers on Nifty,while losers included ITC, Kotak Mahindra Bank and Reliance.
On the sectoral front, FMCG index shed nearly 2 percent, and oil & gas, bank & metal fell 0.5 percent each. On the other hand, power and capital goods indices up 0.5 percent each, according to sources.
The BSE Midcap index was up 0.3 percent, while Smallcap index ended on flat note.
On 24th July’23,the Indian rupee rises 15 paise to close at 81.83 against the US dollar as a sharp jump in India’s forex reserves boosted investor sentiments.
